BERNARD, John II, of Wallingford, Berks.

Little is known about Bernard, who may have been related to a family of that name owning land at Clapcot near Wallingford before 1370.1Boarstall Cart. (Oxf. Hist. Soc. lxxxviii), nos. 687-90, 794. He is mentioned in the record of a local court in 1387, and he served as a juror at a view of frankpledge in 1394.2Berks. RO, W/JBb/51, 53.
